During my past two months, I was travelling in Colombia. It is a country that slowly establishing itself as a major tourist destination. I got the unique experiences during my visiting. In this post, I would like to show you 9 photos that inspire you to travel to Colombia!

1. Cartagena

This colourful colonial city is one of the most popular destinations for tourists in Colombia! You can have a lovely break in this hot, vibrant coastal city. It is considered as the ‘safest’ spot in Colombia for tourists. To enjoy the city, find a rooftop bar to grab a drink and enjoy the sunset is a good idea!

2. San Andres

It is a coral island that belongs to Colombia in Caribbean Sea, although geographically it’s closer to Nicaragua and Jamaica. It is easy to get the flight from any Colombian airport to San Andres, with only one and half hours flight. Here, you can enjoy the beach and get a chill for a few days. The sands are almost pure white and the water is so clear that you can easily spot fish swimming around!

3. Providencia

If San Andres is still too busy for you, then Providencia is a good place for you! Only have the flight connection with San Andres, this means that Providencia retain its Caribbean charm and authenticity and fair fewer tourists make the trip from San Andres to Providencia. In here, you can easily imagine that it is a nice place for snorkelling!

4. Football match in Medellin

I took a chance for watching a football match in Medellin, how was an interesting experience! In the football match, you can feel that the fans are really passionate!

5. Comuna 13 in Medellin

Once was considered as the most dangerous part in Medellin, nowadays the Comuna 13 becomes an area that tourist would like to visit here and see the transformation, to understand the meaning of the beautiful graffiti murals and take a ride in the famous electrical escalators in Comuna 13.

6. Guatape

Just two hours bus ride from Medellin, wandering from street to street in here felt like walking from picture to picture.

Just after 20 minutes walking, I enjoyed the view of Jerico from the top!

7. Jerico

Jerico is a low key traditional town in Antioquia. It is welcoming and friendly to anyone with its warm Paisa hospitality. The views from the Christ Statue hill to the city is amazing!

It was so lucky to see the rainbow in my hostel!

8. Jardin

The word Jardin means garden, it is for sure one of the most beautiful towns I’ve visited in Colombia. Its peaceful atmosphere provide a leisure time for me in the town. I was so lucky to see the rainbow in the town!

9. Cocora Valley

Located in the cafeteria zone, the Cocora Valley is a good place for day hiking, the spectacular trail takes in cloud forest, jungle, farmland and the tallest palm trees in the world! Everyone travelling to Colombia wants to experience it!
